cost of insurance

Ihave been retired for16 years and my premimes have got way out of hand for my wife and I we spend app.900 dollars a month for the same coverage we had at retirement. AT that time we spent app. 100 dollars for health insurence. We do not have eye or dental care. We is at fault?
