As a healthcare professional, there is no doubt that a cetnralized medical record system will tremendously improve our healthcare system. Just the cost of personnel in moving the records back and forth is already a tremendous savings. It is a 21st century thing to do in our healthcare industry. My mother died of medical error/malpractice only because the doctor did not bother to check on the drugs/antibiotic that she is allergic to and gave her the drug that caused her whole body to go into shock and then organ failure.
