This is new information to me and it is appalling. How many patients could benefit if physicians kept up-to-date on the latest medical protocols? Hopefully the time lag between proven research findings, peer approval and delivering patient care can be reduced significantly.
This is a misleading "statistic." Truly game-changing ( and unquestionable) research gets adopted much more quickly. You're averaging the shaky with the solid.
